#22 Susie’s Iconic Meatballs

A little playful, a little fancy, and always a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag char-grilled frozen meatballs (Sam’s Club)

  • “The Good Shit” seasoning

  • J Mac BBQ sauce

  • Optional: extra seasoning for heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat & prep
    Preheat your oven according to the meatball package directions.

  2. Pan them up
    Grab two ½-size steam aluminum foil pans and divide the meatballs evenly between them.

  3. Season with love
    Sprinkle “The Good Shit” over the meatballs to the count of:
    I love you… I love you twice.
    (Yes, that much.)

  4. Sauce it
    Pour J Mac BBQ sauce over each pan, coating the meatballs evenly.

  5. Bake
    Cook according to package directions.

  6. Stir things up
    When they come out of the oven, give them a really good stir.

  7. Make it boutique
    Transfer the meatballs into your serving piece of choice:

    • a crockpot for easy entertaining

    • a fancy serving pan

    • or one of your favorite enamel pieces

  8. Finish the magic
    Add:

    • 1 to 1½ cups more BBQ sauce

    • about ¼ cup more “The Good Shit” seasoning

    Stir well. This is where the magic happens.

  9. Turn up the heat (optional)
    If you’re like Susie and want a little kick, add some extra heat seasoning to taste.

  10. Serve warm
    Keep warm in your crockpot or serve straight from your favorite piece.
